]]> Step it Up: 5K for Autism Speaks on April 15 /u/news/2012/04/12/step-it-up-5k-for-autism-speaks-on-april-15/ Thu, 12 Apr 2012 17:34:00 +0000 /u/news/2012/04/12/step-it-up-5k-for-autism-speaks-on-april-15/ Alpha Xi Delta sorority at 福利亚洲国产精品 is hosting the Step it Up: 5K for Autism Speaks to support the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization.

Mayor Jerry Peterman of Graham will be kicking off the event at 福利亚洲国产精品’s south campus intramural fields at 1 p.m. on April 15. Senator Rick Gunn of North Carolina will also be attending the 5K. The event is open to the community for all ages, with check-in beginning at 12 p.m.

Before April 15, the adult registration fee is $10 and the day of is $15. For youth participants 12 and under, the registration fee is $5 before the event and $10 the day of.

Our fun events include:

Monday, April 2nd – Light it Up Blue: Wear a piece of blue clothing (jeans don’t count!) Stop by Moseley at 12pm and grab a FREE slice of pizza for participating!

Tuesday, April 3rd – College Coffee: Learn about autism & Autism Speaks 

Wednesday, April 4th – Xi Candy Land in Moseley: Stop by one of our tables between 10am and 4pm to treat yourself to half a bag of candy for $2 or a full bag for $4!

Thursday, April 5th – Xi Candy Land in Moseley from 10am to 4pm

We are also hosting two other philanthropic events on:

Tuesday, April 11th – Xiti Dinner at the First Baptist Church from 5 – 8pm and eat unlimited homemade ziti for only $5!

Sunday, April 15th – Step it Up: 5K for Autism Speaks on Elon’s South Campus Intramural Fields starting at 12pm!
