Register for men’s fraternity recruitment

There are only four weeks left to register for men’s recruitment. Please register as soon as possible so you can receive e-mails and notifications explaining how recruitment works and when certain events take place. There will be Dorm Storms by men in the Interfraternity Council who will be bringing around pizza and information about recruitment over the next few weeks, so look out for that. Sign Up for Men’s Spring Fraternity Recruitment

The seven fraternities on campus invite you to sign up for recruitment before Winter Term so they can see the names of students who are interested. This is important to do before Winter Term because fraternities do most of their recruiting at that time. Also, signing up will put you on the e-mail list to receive information about the recruitment schedule and events.

To go through recruitment you must have maintained a 2.5 cumulative GPA between fall and Winter Term as a freshman and 2.5 cumulative GPA for upperclassmen. Also, you must have completed at least 12 credit hours at Elon.

Elon Academy is Looking For 2 Spring Interns

Elon Academy is looking for two Interns for the Spring Semester. Interns work 6-8 hours a week and help out one Saturday a month for the Saturday Programs. This is an unpaid internship that offers class credit if needed. The responsibilities of an intern are to assist Darris Means, the assistant sirector of Elon Academy in the day to day workings of the Academy. Excel, Powerpoint, and Microsoft Word proficiency is essential. The reason for two intern positions is that Elon Academy is looking for one of the interns to help with Hispanic Outreach (translating materials, interpreting for meetings) for the Spanish speaking families of Elon Academy. If you are interested in applying to be an Elon Academy Mentor and have not received an application, send an e-mail to Patrick Holloway at jholloway7@elon.edu. Elon Academy Mentor applications due Friday, Oct. 30

The application to be a mentor with the Elon Academy is due on Friday, Oct. 30 at 4 pm.

Elon Academy Mentor Information Session TODAY, Oct. 14 at 5 p.m.

Elon Academy Mentor Information Sessions: First one is Oct. 6

Come to an Elon Academy information session to learn how you can become a mentor with the Elon Academy this summer.

The Elon Academy is a university-run college access and enrichment program that serves Alamance County high school students with financial need and/or no family history of college. Come and see how you can become a mentor for these students this summer.

The first interest meeting is Tuesday, Oct. 6, in Koury Business Center 242 from 4:30 until 5:30 pm.

Food and drinks will be served.

IFC Fall Recruitment begins Sept. 28

IFC Fall Recruitment begins Monday, September 28th at 7:30 in McKinnon in the Moseley Center. If you have not registered, please do not worry, you just need to register before Bid Day on October 2nd. Remember, you must have completed atleast 12 credits at ��޹��Ʒ and maintained a GPA of 2.5 or higher in order to register. Men’s Fall Recruitment Begins Monday, Sept. 28

If you are a rising sophomore, junior, or senior that has completed at least 12 credit hours and have maintained above a 2.5 GPA and you are interested in joining a Fraternity this fall, please log on to the Greek Life website to register for Fall recruitment. Expansion advisory committee volunteers needed

The Inter-Fraternity Council has voted to bring another fraternity on to campus and we need faculty and staff volunteers as well as students (both greek and non-greek) to give their input on which organization would be the best fit for Elon Greek Life. All that would be asked of you would be to read through the expansion packets and meet a couple times this summer to discuss each organization. Obviously, being at Elon this summer is required to be a part of the committee. If interested, please contact Patrick Holloway at jholloway7@elon.edu by June 10, 2009.
