Are you interested in being a larger part of Safe Rides?  Have great ideas and want your voice heard?  Staff Applications for the 2009-2010 school year are now available. These positions are a great way to get involved with a fun campus program.

            Volunteer Coordinator

            Member Coordinator

            Operations Coordinator

            Public Relations Coordinator

            Captain

Come to “PR Outside the Box,” a regional activity hosted by the Elon chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America on March 8. Thinking creatively is the key and during the daylong event, there will be speaker sessions, an interactive activity, goodies from local sponsors and two free meals! 

Speakers include: Elon’s Lee Bush, founder of Live Oak Communications; John Guiniven, the former Director of Corporate Public Relations at Chrysler; Kristen Foster, the Digital Influence Strategist for NHLBI’s The Heart Truth campaign; Kelly Hubbard an account executive at Largemouth Communications; and Rob Coleman; the Chief Communications Officer at the American Junior Gold Association, who recruits big names like Ralph Lauren and Rolex for his non-profit management. 

If you sign up by Feb. 22, registration is only $30! Late registration is $40.

Hope your winter term is going well! Safe Rides is currently looking for volunteers for Spring semester. You can volunteer with a friend or as a group and right now there are a good amount of open dates.  Doing Safe Rides for one night is a great way to get some service hours and have fun.
