Authoring with DVD Studio Pro

This workshop is an introduction to DVD authoring with DVD Studio Pro. While an introductory course the material covered will be at an advanced level. Students need to have a strong knowledge of Final Cut Pro and be very familiar with the operation of Apple/Macintosh computers. Topics covered will include: program layout, authoring commands, encoding, menu design, templates and DVD burning. The workshop will focus on DVD authoring for a demo reel.

Introduction to Motion

This workshop is an introduction to Apple’s Motion software. The workshop is open to all students, however, knowledge of Apple/Macintosh computers and an understanding of Final Cut Pro is required. This workshop will serve as an introduction to creating motion graphics with Apple’s Motion software. Topics covered will include: an introduction to the program layout, key framing, an overview of program tools, creating Motion templates and synching Motion project files with Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro. This is an intermediate level course.

Introduction to Final Cut Pro

This workshop is a basic introduction to editing with Final Cut Pro. The workshop is open to all students; however, knowledge of Apple/Macintosh computers is required as computer operation will not be covered. Topics covered will include an overview of file management, project workflow, DV, HDV and HD file formats, FCP window layout, buttons and shortcuts, logging and capturing, working with text and graphics, filters, and basic key framing. This is a basic level course intended for students with little or no understanding of Final Cut Pro.

ETV is currently hiring edit lab assistants for Spring semester. Students interested in this job must have experience working with Final Cut Pro and editing video projects. The Edit Lab Assistant is responsible for maintaining functional, clean, and safe editing labs for student, faculty and staff use. The Edit Lab Assistant is also responsible for helping with 福利亚洲国产精品 projects as assigned. 
 
Responsibilities include:
 
–       Assisting students, faculty, and staff with questions and technical problems
–       Overseeing the edit labs and upholding the edit lab rules and regulations
–       Closing and opening the edit labs
–       Maintaining the edit labs as directed (cleaning, re-wiring etc.)
–       Maintaining an edit lab inventory
–       Logging and Capturing footage
–       Editing (Final Cut Pro)
–       Other duties as assigned
