What is validation? Validation simply means submitting your service hours (with a signature from someone who can verify that service) to the Kernodle Center.

• Elon is known for its commitment to service. When all of our hours are counted together, we make a major impact.

How to validate: Forms can be downloaded or by picking one up in the Kernodle Center, Moseley 230. When completed, drop off your validation form in Moseley 230.

Learn about an opportunity to serve this summer in Malawi by attending an informational session on Monday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. in Moseley 103 (The Oak Room).

Applications are due by Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 5 p.m. They  will be available at the meeting and can be picked up in the Kernodle Center, Moseley 230.

All Elon students are invited to form teams of 5-10 people and participate in the competitive Shack-A-Thon event. Each team is given materials such as newspaper, cardboard boxes and duct tape to build a structure in 45 minutes.

There is a $5 entry fee per person, and all proceeds go towards building Habitat’s 22nd house in Alamance County. Each participant will receive three hours of community service that can be validated through the Kernodle Center.
