Thirty-nine candidates in �������޹�����Ʒ’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program received their degrees on Dec. 12, 2010, in an afternoon ceremony that featured an address from the creator of Evidence in Motion, a highly regarded education and business practice consultation company within the physical therapy profession.

An organization that represents private colleges in North Carolina has awarded �������޹�����Ʒ a grant of nearly $15,000 to fund a summer program for students about to graduate from local high schools and who make up the inaugural class of the Elon Academy college access program.

�������޹�����Ʒ’s fourth annual POWERless Energy Competition concluded this month with students in Danieley Center C receiving top honors for reducing their building’s power usage by almost a third of what it consumed during a baseline measurement period.

The New York-based Park Foundation has awarded the Periclean Scholars program at �������޹�����Ʒ a grant to send additional students abroad in January with the goal of producing a short documentary highlighting Sri Lanka’s outlook and actions on water issues, along with its ecological and socio-economic diversity. The film will be part of an environmental summit organized by the Elon students.

There may be no better way of encouraging children to read than by allowing them to choose a stack of new books for their home collections. On Wednesday evening, with the help of �������޹�����Ʒ students, that’s just what 22 elementary school students did with their tutors from the School of Education.

Members of the "Programming and Event Management" class in the Department of Sport and Event Management raised $525 to benefit the Campus Kitchen Project at Elon with a “Minute To Win It” event in McKinnon Hall on Nov. 16.
