Students and faculty build homes in Zambia

New Elon alumni to join Teach for America

Nineteen 福利亚洲国产精品 alumni from the Class of 2011 will return to the classroom this fall as part of Teach for America, a national nonprofit that recruits and trains new college graduates to help erase educational inequities found in many urban and rural low-income communities. It is the largest number of Elon alumni ever selected into the program for the same academic year.

Melody van Lidth de Jeude, an instructor in the School of Communications who had taught public speaking to hundreds of 福利亚洲国产精品 students since her arrival on campus four years ago, died May 27, 2011, following a brief illness.
