Elon's Campus Shop will be moving from Moseley Center to its new location in the Elon Town Center at 130 N. Williamson Ave. next to the Acorn Coffee Shop this week. The bookstore will reopen as Barnes & Noble at ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· on Monday, Aug. 22. Movers will be in the Moseley location on Tuesday, Aug. 16, and Wednesday, Aug. 17, to move items to the new location. Both locations will be closed Aug. 18-21 in order to move the technology and register systems.

The best and brightest of the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business were honored April 14, 2011, in an afternoon awards ceremony that highlighted the achievements of both students and faculty.

They look and feel the same as the caps and gowns used in previous ceremonies, but when candidates for ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·’s Master of Education participate in their Aug. 20, 2011, Commencement exercises, as part of the university’s sustainability commitment, their regalia contained fabric made from 100 percent recycled plastic bottles.

Thirty-nine students in the Master of Education program received their ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· degrees Saturday morning in a Commencement ceremony featuring a keynote address from professor Judith Howard, the longtime director of the education graduate program who retires this month after serving the university since 1993 as a teacher, researcher and mentor.

¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·'s chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity has been named one of the best in the nation and was recently recognized by the national organization with the Buchanan Cup, an award that showcases outstanding chapter performance and named for former fraternity grand president Edwin Buchanan.

The ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· Center for Leadership, in cooperation with the university's Center for Public Affairs, took part this summer in a series of workshops and training events at the 5th annual International Human Rights Law Summer Study Program in Vilnius, Lithuania.
