RLF Interns will be exposed to multiple facets of the firm and will be expected to work closely with mid and senior-level account executives. Interns will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments including maintaining media lists, compiling clip books, writing press releases and pitch letters, conducting research and assisting with events.

Internship Duties & Responsibilities

The Intern performs a full range of tasks relative to the design and production of publications, multimedia presentations, CD-ROM/DVDs and web pages.  The intern digitally designs documents, publications, charts, and diagrams to effectively communicate information about Defense Visual Information Directorate (DVI) programs and functions.  The intern also advises DVI staff on the effective use of graphics, visual marketing tools and techniques in promoting DVI products and services.  Using content provided by DVI staff, the intern builds and designs effective briefings and presentations as required in support of meetings, committees, working groups and conferences.  The intern advises DVI staff in all aspects of effective visual communication to include the development of presentations, briefings, web site design, and printed materials.  The intern creates and formats digital files as required for postscript color separation for conventional printing and/or electronic dissemination.

Special skills include a working knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop SC2, Adobe Indesign CS3, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and web design tools.  A background in web design, presentation design and print media is desired.
