Applications for the 2017-18 school year will be available beginning Feb. 3 and will be due Feb. 20.

During the fall semester, executive interns attend orientation and group meetings with senior staff members, meet with their mentors, begin research in preparation for their projects, and attend customized professional development sessions. During Winter Term, interns are expected to work
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekday and complete the bulk of their projects. This includes working with other members of their respective areas and attending departmental meetings (as appropriate). In the spring, interns conclude the program through capstone experiences, continue to meet with senior staff members, and participate in the application and interview process for following year’s interns.

The students were recognized during the Annual Internship Breakfast Friday, May 6 in Lakeside Dining Hall. These students will work with members of the university’s senior leadership team on important projects and key initiatives that advance the university’s strategic plan, The Elon Commitment. This year, the program received over 60 applications. Executive Interns will also attend the fall 2016 Board of Trustee meeting, Evening for Elon in Raleigh, NC, and have multiple opportunities to further develop their leadership and professional skills through customized sessions with the Student Professional Development Center. Executive Internship applications now available /u/news/2016/02/16/executive-internship-applications-now-available/ Tue, 16 Feb 2016 21:20:00 +0000 /u/news/2016/02/16/executive-internship-applications-now-available/ The Executive Internship Program provides an opportunity for highly motivated juniors or seniors to work with university senior leadership on projects and departmental goals related to the university’s strategic plan, The Elon Commitment. .

The 福利亚洲国产精品 Executive Internship Program is now open to applicants interested in applying for the 6-year cohort. In addition to working with senior staff members and developing leadership skills, students have the opportunity to develop organizational management and administration skills through the lens of higher education. Interns have the opportunity to attend customized sessions through Student Professional Development Center focusing on professionalism and networking.

Throughout the year, interns attend meetings with the Board of Trustees and the Presidential Advisory Council, as well as events such as football and basketball games and Evening for Elon. Previous students who participated in the program have gone on to work in multiple settings including private and public higher education institutions, law, politics, and Fortune 500 companies. Among many of the projects that have been completed through the program include Are You Ready, a program for incoming Elon Students and Elon Day, a campaign encouraging alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends to celebrate by wearing maroon and gold, make a gift to the university, and spread the word about Elon on social media.

Created in 2011, the President Executive Internship Program is for highly motivated juniors and seniors who are interested in working closely with Elon Senior Staff and key stakeholders.

Participants will further develop leadership skills, project management skills, and apply undergraduate experiences to help achieve university and departmental goals as related to the Elon Commitment strategic plan and other institutional priorities.

This program provides students a variety of enriching opportunities throughout the year that help prepare them for post graduate endeavors.
