For more than 20 years, the Military Friendly庐 Schools list has set the standard for higher education institutions to provide the best educational opportunities for veterans, their spouses and the military community.
Military Friendly compiles its list each year based on data from federal agencies, veteran students and聽a 聽completed by each participating institution.聽More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2025-26 survey with 830 earning special awards for going above the standard.
Elon received a silver ranking for being within the top 21 percent of all colleges and universities within its category (private schools offering doctorate degrees) receiving the Military Friendly Schools designation. In addition, Elon was also recognized as a 2025-26 Military Spouse Friendly School.
Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly庐 Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution鈥檚 survey scores with the assessment of the institution鈥檚 ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan
Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
