The chapter's annual service event included volunteering with ScholarCHIPS, which was founded by Yasmine Arrington Brooks '15.
Elon’s Washington, D.C. Alumni Chapter hosted its annual service event on Thursday, April 4, and partnered partnered this year with , an organization founded by Elon alumna Yasmine Arrington Brooks 鈥15.
Alongside Brooks and two ScholarCHIPS alums, Tianna and Jermekkio, Elon alumni in D.C. helped collect supplies, write encouraging notes and assemble care packages for current scholars in the program. To date, ScholarCHIPS has supported 83 scholars in earning their college degrees and has awarded over $450,000 in scholarships, book awards and graduation gifts since 2012.
