Local broadcast news station WFMY tapped Associate Professor of Political Science and Policy Studies Jason Husser for a pair of recent stories about issues related to the 2020 presidential election.
Husser, who is director of the 福利亚洲国产精品 Poll, was featured in the outlet’s Aug. 18 story on election polling, titled 聽The piece focused on polls that predicted Hillary Clinton as the winner of the 2016 election and how some pollsters missed the mark. For his part, Husser talked about how voters should view polls ahead of the 2020 election.
鈥淭he late-breaking voters are going to be an issue in trying to decide who鈥檚 up and who鈥檚 down,” Husser said. “This is my rule of thumb: unless a person has a lead the last poll before the election of more than five points, I treat it as it鈥檚 really too close to call.鈥
In WFMY’s聽聽聽published on Aug. 19, Husser discussed claims by the Trump campaign that Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris is the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate.
Husser offered context for the claims and discussed whether they were factual.
“My personal impression is that she is liberal, but she’s not nearly the level of liberal that you would see wanting massive government intervention in both the social and economic sphere,” Husser said.
