From the Burlington Times-News (7/21/12): A former ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· student is asking the N.C. Supreme Court to weigh in on a dispute about campus police records.
Nick Ochsner, a 2011 Elon graduate, is a TV reporter in Lubbock, Texas. His petition to the Supreme Court follows a June ruling by the N.C. Court of Appeals that rejected his arguments.
He filed a lawsuit in April 2011 after ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· released “minimal information” about an incident in which a student was accused of underage drinking and resisting an officer. Ochsner’s request for a more detailed narrative was denied.
