On April 8, ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ· School of Law hosted its final Reception with the Legal Community for the academic year. During the reception, Elon Law faculty presented Strongest Overall Performance awards to students for the 2008-2009 academic year.

“Diversity” has become a buzzword on college campuses that misses a larger point, said activist and BET personality Jeff Johnson, who visited campus Saturday for ¸£ÀûÑÇÖÞ¹ú²ú¾«Æ·’s inaugural Diversity Leadership Conference. More should be done to foster greater community, he said, and responsibility for that rests with student leaders.

On April 12, Greg Taylor told Elon Law students about his incredible story, spending 17 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. The North Carolina Innocence Inquiry Commission recently found Taylor innocent after nearly two decades in prison for a first-degree murder conviction.
